The traditional arts and crafts and architectural heritage of the Arab/Muslim world are the focus of various hands-on projects that are integrated each year with the camp theme.

Below is a sample art project made in 2006: linoleum cuts depicting animals for each letter of the alphabet, made by campers, counselors and staff. Also, two new t-shirt designs were made by art teacher, Hamdi Attia: one highlighting the Arabic alphabet and the other of Um Kulthum, reflecting the 2006 theme which was about exploring the Egyptian city and countryside through the life story of the preeminent Egyptian singer, Um Kulthum who grew up in the Nile delta and gained her fame in Cairo and around the world.
