Through this outreach we can promote cross-cultural understanding and build bridges among youth of diverse ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.
September 2013: Al-Bustan is pleased to announce the publication of our first music instructional booklet:
Arab Percussion Method – Volume One
by Master Percussionist and Teacher Hafez Kotain
This booklet provides a structured method for educators and students to learn Arab music. The basic sounds on a hand drum are explained with music notes, followed by four lessons with exercises and solo arrangements for a percussion ensemble (28 pages).
Al-Bustan coasters showcase our logo designed by Ayman Alalao. The branches of the tree spell ‘Arabi, the Arabic word for “Arabic”.
Our latest coasters are made of high-quality heat resistant silicone, produced by the Lebanese company Images D’Orient. They make great gifts, order your set now!
We also have Al-Bustan coasters made of tumbled marble. Sealant is applied on the front and cork is affixed to the back.

Al-Bustan’s series of Alphabet Notecards feature artwork produced by youth at Al-Bustan Camp over the past 8 years. Each card is a collective work representing the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet created in a different media related to the camp theme.
Cards open to the right (so that you can write notes in Arabic or English!)
