EXHIBITION STATEMENT
How does grief unfold when we bear witness to the unbearable?
How do we find our place? How do we fit together now?
Anatomy of Grief, Fundraiser for Healing Hands supports healing externally and internally. It places us next to each other to bring healing hands to Palestine. We are in this place together.
What does grief look like when we can barely look?
We do look. We find there is a pattern in how we come together.
Collective grief gives us a way to each other. By looking for safety and finding cohesion, by asking who’s in charge and looking deeply for the answer, by building a wall of love to counter a wall of apartheid, by seeking out and finding human beauty, by seeing the golden moon rising on a bold new day, we face the anatomy of our grief. We find Palestine at the center of our being, by standing in this place.
All proceeds from the sale of artwork go to Healing Hands Fund to directly support the needs of Palestinians. Healing Hands Fund delivers critical medical supplies that provide life-saving treatments to medical facilities in Palestine and is establishing a prosthetics clinic dedicated to treating pediatric amputees.
